Start Time: 8:00 PM ET
Date: Sat. June 22, 2013
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
With the series tied at two games each, the Blackhawks and Bruins returned to Chicago for Game 5 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals on Saturday, June 22.
Back on home ice after going 1-1 in Boston, the Blackhawks took Game 5 on Saturday night with a 3-1 win. At the end of the day, Boston's brutality was so match for Chicago's speed and agility, and Patrice Bergeron's absence after sustaining an injury in the 2nd period only made matters worse for Boston's offense. Outstanding performances were made by Blackhawks Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, with Toews assisting on both of Kane's goals.
With Chicago leading the series 3-2, both teams head back to Boston for Game 6 Monday, June 24, at 8 PM.
