The people over at Summerfest recently released some information about Summerfest 2012. For one, Lady Antebellum will be headlining Summerfest along with some special guests. If you can't wait until Summer to see them, check out Lady Antebellum's 2011 tour dates. Summerfest Milwauke: A look back at last year

Summerfest 2011 Music Festival - also known as The Big Gig - will be held as always in Milwaukee, WI at the Henry Maier Festival Park.  The festival is set for eleven days: June 29th through July 3rd and July 5th through July 10th.   Summerfest has announced Toby Keith and Eric Church for the 2011 Summerfest lineup with Katy Perry just recently being named as a headliner. We will keep you posted and let you know as soon as we get more info on the official lineup.

The Summerfest 2010 lineup featured an incredible 800+ bands over the course of eleven days. Some of the more notable artists from 2010 include Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, Public Enemy, Eric Clapton, O.A.R, and The Roots.  While only two acts have been confirmed for 2011, there are a number of rumors out there and we will let you know as soon as we get official information. We are all familiar with the multitude of hot bands, rappers, DJs, and comedians at Bonnaroo, but no one ever speaks of Bonnaroo as a “hot bargain”.  We decided to analyze ticket data on the resale market to provide a unique perspective on the value of a Bonnaroo ticket and to determine if it is really worth the $234.50 price of admission.

Among its target demographic, the yearly Bonnaroo Festival is slotted into the calendars of festivalgoer’s like a parent would plan for their child’s birthday or graduation.  For a period of about 5 days, a bevy of college students, hip young adults, music aficionados, and casual music fans descend upon Great Stage Park on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. They come to hang out with like-minded music lovers and to see as many live performances as possible from the vast lineup including Weezer, John Butler Trio, Norah Jones, The National, Kings of Leon, and Dave Matthews Band!  Understandably, most festivalgoer’s are so impressed with the lineup that they pay the ticket price without even considering the value of that ticket.  Well, fortunately, here at SeatGeek, we do the math to save you money on concert tickets.  We crunched the numbers to answer the question: is Bonnaroo a bargain?

There are over 100 live artists at Bonnaroo, but it’s impossible to catch every one.  We isolated a small sample of artists performing at Bonnaroo and compared their combined average ticket prices on the resale market in Spring/Summer to that of a $234.50 Bonnaroo ticket. The outcome is staggering.

A Bonnaroo attendee will save nearly $685 dollars paying for a Bonnaroo pass instead of paying the average ticket price for these artists on the resale market.  An ambitious Bonnaroo attendee could catch even more shows, and the savings we calculated doesn’t factor in top draws like Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Tenacious D, Damian Marley, Nas, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and B.O.B.! If you like music, comedy, or just having a good time, this is the best way to spend your money on live performances.  So pack up your freshest jeans, sandals, t-shirts, and friends and load them all into a RV with a tent, water, food, and some beer – because you can’t afford to miss out on Bonnaroo this summer.

One of the biggest festivals of the summer is right around the corner. This festival is, of course, Bonnaroo! This weekend June 9-12, 2011, the 10th annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will take place in Manchester, Tennessee. This year's lineup is bigger and better than ever, which includes a wide range of music, comedy, cinema, and arts. The Bamboozle festival is an annual event that grew out of the Skate and Surf Festival. It follows an interesting format in which new bands compete for the first two days of the three day festival for a spot in the core of the festival. In 2003, the festival begin at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park and it is rumored to be returning to Asbury Park in 2012.

Information below is from last year's Bamboozle festival

The Bamboozle 2011 Festival will be held at the New Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ.  The festival will take place over the course of three days, Friday April 29th through Sunday May 1st, and there will be a total of 9 stages. So far 60 artists have been announced and there should be several more artists to be announced as we get closer to the start of festival. Some of the more notable headlining artists in The Bamboozle 2011 lineup as of right now are Lil' Wayne, Motley Crue, Taking Back Sunday, The Gaslight Anthem, and Wiz Khalifa.  The complete lineup to date is listed below and it looks like there is a great mix of artists performing at The Bamboozle 2011.  We will be keeping you updated as new bands are added to the lineup.
