Bob Hope Classic Tickets - Overview
The Bob Hope Classic is a Professional Golfers Association (PGA) event that is usually played in January. It is played in California's Coachella Valley and is the third event on the Tour's schedule each year. The Bob Hope Classic is known for its quirk of being played over five days at four different courses. The current course rotation is PGA West Nicklaus Course, PGA West Palmer Course, La Quinta Country Club and SilverRock Resort. All of the courses are par 72.
Bob Hope Classic Tickets - History
The Bob Hope Classic began as the Palm Springs Golf Classic in 1960. Bob Hope put his name on the tournament in 1965 and became the its Chairman of the Board. Over the years, the tournament was played at Thunderbird Country Club, Tamarisk Country Club Bermuda Dunes Country Club and Wells Country Club. Beginning in 1987, the Bob Hope Classic gravitated towards courses that were better suited for pro golfers. The tournament is also known for its celebrity Pro-Am competition. Celebrities like Bing Crosby, Kirk Douglas, Desi Arnaz and Frank Sinatra played in the tournament. U.S. Presidents Dwight Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton have all participated in the Bob Hope classic, too.

Jhonattan Vegas from Venezuela won the Bob Hope Classic most recently in 2011. Arnold Palmer won the initial tournament in 1960, and won it four more times after that. Johnny Miller won it in consecutive years in 1975-76.Phil Mickelson won the Bob Hope Classic twice in three years in 2002 and 2004.
