When young Brian Setzer born on April 10, 1959, was gifted his first instrument -- a euphonium at age eight -- it was no surprise that this little boy was going to jazz it up for years, ten years to be exact. It was only due to the rise of punk music that expanded his knowledge and taste beyond that of jazz that defined him as a soon-to-be blues-rock-big-band-jazz style music visionary unlike anything the industry had seen. It was then that the Brian Setzer Orchestra was born, thanks to Interscope Records taking note of the big-band swing revival of the late '90s.
