SeatGeek Broker Program

Overview

How does SeatGeek broker program work?

SeatGeek is a ticket search engine, allowing consumers to survey a large number of ticket brokers, secondary ticket markets and other resellers. Brokers can be included in search results by participating in the broker program.

Where will the transaction take place?

The ticket purchase will occur on your site. SeatGeek is a search engine that sends highly qualified leads to your checkout page where the user can then consummate the transaction.

How does SeatGeek earn revenue?

Like traditional search engines, SeatGeek charges brokers on a cost-per-click basis for sending your site highly qualified leads. Our cost-per-click rate formula is published below. While these rates are subject to change, we will always provide ten days notice before making a change. We use the formula below because it accurately accounts for the commission a broker can expect to make on a click-throughs, meaning you are likely to profit on click-throughs from SeatGeek.

Cost per click = 0.84 *(0.006*basket + 0.3*ln(basket) - 0.6)

Notes:

  1. "Basket" means the total size of the expected basket for the listing on which the user is clicking, i.e. cost per ticket times number of tickets available, before any fees or shipping charges.
  2. The minimum cost for each click is $0.04
  3. The maximum cost for each click is 1.68% of the average listing price for the event.
