Since the release of their self-titled album in 2011, Brother Sun - a singer/songwriter trio - have been using their vocal harmonies, lyrics and blues-infused style to create a unique blend of undeniably catchy folk rock. The nationally touring group is comprised of Joe Jencks, Greg Greenway and Pat Wictor, who each hail from different major cities on the map: Chicago, NYC and Boston, and have had previous success touring as solo artists. After combining forces, they first burst onto the folk scene with the release of their aforementioned album, which debut at No. 2 on the Folk DJ Charts and was named the No. 8 album of 2011 on FOLK-DJ. The summer of 2011 saw plentiful success for the group, and after they received standing ovations at both Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals, plus a slew of sold-out concerts throughout the US, they cemented themselves as one of the top acts in their genre.

The band is currently on the road in support of their sophomore effort, 2013's "Some Part of the Truth." The 13-track album was recorded with the help of Grammy-winning producer Ben Wisch, and features the same rich vocals that fans have come to expect from the multi-talented band. You can catch them throughout the East Coast and South beginning April 5 when they perform at the Garden Stage in Garden City, NY. They'll also make an appearance at the Woodstock Folk Festival, in Woodstock, IL, on June 21, as well as a stint at the CT Folk Festival, in New Haven, CT, on September 7.
