About Cage the Elephant
Cage the Elephant Tickets - Not Just a Day at the Zoo
At least in England, to be honest: for sure, rock 'n' roll has that sentimentality of visiting the zoo and seeing all the wild animals, but this is particularly true for the U.K. when you get a Bowling Green, Kentucky, band hitting it big overseas! The name of the band is Cage the Elephant, formed in the early 2000s by Matt Shultz, Brad Shultz, Jared Champion, Lincoln Parish, and Daniel Tichenor. They were so popular that they had earned their contract with Relentless for the release of their debut album in 2008.

Of course, like any smart record company would do, they tested the waters with the Elephant by setting up the release of their first single in 2007, 'Free Love.' Following that, 'Ain't No Rest for the Wicked' hit the Top 40, and it was pretty evident that the self-titled album was close to coming. In 2011 their second album Thank You Happy Birthday was released with the lead single 'Shake Me Down' hitting the air waves.
Cage the Elephant Tickets - The Sound and Style of the Elephant
You'll be somewhat surprised when you listen and watch this band perform, because while they fall under the rock 'n' roll genre, they don't necessarily sound like good ol' fashioned rock 'n' roll! There's a unique quality that echoes that of something similar to Beck, or Blink 182 without the comedy and antics. They're gritty, grungy, but for a lighter crowd. A deeper version of the All-American Rejects, really.
