Chicago Tickets - The Universal Name of American Rock

Naturally, this was a band formed in none other than Chicago, IL, way back in February 15, 1967, in the middle of DePaul University and also one member from Roosevelt University. Comprised of reed player Walter Parazaider, trumpeteer Lee Loughnane, trombonist James Pankow, guitarist Terry Kath, and drummer Danny Seraphine, the band Chicago Transit Authority, better known as 'Chicago,' took the rock world by storm and signed with Columbia Records in the year of 1968.

Now, of course the band didn't want to deal with legalities, so after the release of their first double album -- a rarity in first releases -- the name 'Chicago Transit Authority' was shortened to simply Chicago. That didn't shorten their monumental success as a staple rock band of the century with such hits as 'Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?' and 'Beginnings' and 'Questions 67 and 68' in their repertoire. Their success continued with further albums leading up to even today -- with other immortal hits like 'Where Do We Go From Here?' and 'Colour My World.'
