5/2/12 - Starting pitcher Jake Peavy of the Chicago White Sox has been voted American League Pitcher of the Month for April. During the month, Peavy posted a 3-1 record with a 1.67 ERA with two complete games and 1 shutout over five starts. He also threw consecutive complete games and has allowed two runs in 25 innings over his last three starts, including a streak of 17 consecutive scoreless from April 18-28 according to ESPN.
