About Chimaira
Chimaira Tickets - Hardcore Modern Style in the Halls of Rock
Formed in 1998, it was obvious this band was going to make it big given the heyday of the alternative rock sector featuring everything from dark death metal to the electro-metal genre that most bands adopted. Chimaira was one of those bands to mix it all for one truly hardcore sound. Featuring singer/screamer Mark Hunter, guitarists Matt DeVries and Rob Arnold, bass guitarist Jim LaMarca, drummer Andols Herrick, and electronic specialist Chris Spicuzza, Chimaira was definitely a phenomenon, earning them a label contract with Roadrunner Records after opening concerts for the likes of Soulfly, Hatebreed, Spineshank, and Snapcase.
Chimaira Tickets - The Music of the Chimaira
The label issued out a 14-track full-length debut album called Pass Out of Existence in the year of 2001, and The Impossibility of Reason followed in 2003. Chimaira also had a third album show up in 2005, self-titled, and then moved to another label, Ferret Records. With everything sort of reborn from all their past efforts, the fourth album Resurrection hit the stores in 2007 with hard-hitting force.

The band focused mainly on some hardcore music mixed with a bit of metal and a healthy dose of electronica -- think Nine Inch Nails meets Linkin Park meets Metallica, and you've got Chimaira down pat.
