Crossfade Tickets - The Stars From Columbia, South Carolina

Typically you'd find a hard rock/heavy metal outfit out of Los Angeles, New York, or maybe even Chicago -- but you'd be surprised to find these massive headbangers straight out of South Carolina, by the names of singer and guitarist Ed Sloan with bass guitarist and backup vocalist Mitch James, followed by drummer Brian Geiger and singer and DJ Tony Byroads. The resulting group became a band called Crossfade, signing with the Earshot subsidiary of Columbia Records in 2003 for their debut album.

The self-titled debut came out in 2004 with the first single 'Cold' hitting the air waves. The song did so well on the charts that by the next year the album went platinum. Even with Byroads departure due to a marriage, Crossfade never died down as another single came around in 2006 called 'Invincible' to mark the beginning of the band's follow-up called Falling Away in that same year.

True hard rock and heavy metal was their calling, and when it came to modern rock style, Crossfade had it. With the jagged vocals ripping through the guitar riffs and just an edge that meshed with the likes of Breaking Benjamin and AC/DC, Crossfade had a sound that was unique and powerful. They would hopefully be back yet again to rock the air waves.
