About Danzig
Danzig Tickets - Band History
Glenn Danzig was originally part of the band Samhain, which performed their final show on July 14, 1986. Rick Rubin was in attendance and scouting for potential bands to sign to his record label. He was very impressed with Glenn Danzig's performance, and approached him after the show. Danzig stated that he would not sign without his friend Eerie Von. The pair, with Danzig on vocals and Von on bass, quickly evolved into a new band with the addition of John Christ on guitar and Chuck Biscuits on drums in 1987. The band took Danzig's surname, and Danzig tickets began to sell.
Danzig Tickets - The Music
The band released their first album, Danzig in 1988, and followed it in 1990 with Danzig II: Lucifuge. Danzig continued to produce hit albums, including Danzig III: How the Gods Kill (1992), Danzig 4 (1994). Danzig tickets increased in popularity with each album release
Danzig Tickets - Transition
Despite the popularity of their albums with fans, Danzig has only had two hit singles, 'Mother' and 'Cantspeak'. This may be due in large part to a change in the lineup. In 1994, Chuck Biscuits left the band and was replaced with Joey Castillo. Then in 1995, John Christ and Erie Von resigned on the same day. The band finally stabilized in the late 1990s with Tommy Victor, Johnny Kelly, and Steve Zing. In spite of all the lineup changes, Danzig tickets continue to be top sellers.
