About Dokken tickets

American heavy metal giants Dokken sat at the top of the rock charts worldwide for a time in the 1980s, standing head and shoulders with the leading metal bands in that time of metal's glory years. But unlike most of the other metal bands they frequently crossed paths with, Dokken has kept growing, kept recording and, minus a couple of hiatuses, kept on playing music. First formed in 1978 when power vocalist Don Dokken teamed with drummer Mick Brown, guitarist Greg Leon and bassist Jim Monanteras in Los Angeles, but the lineup quickly changed following a recording in Germany, under the name 'Don Dokken.' Dokken returned to the U.S. to form Dokken again with the more steady lineup of longtime collaborator George Lynch on guitar and Brown again on drums. By 1983, Dokken had been performing stadium tours, supporting the likes of Blue Oyster Cult, and were ready to record their debut album, Breaking the Chains, which fared modestly well on the charts, enough to build a solid fan base. It was Dokken's second album, Tooth and Nail, that immediately shot them to top billing, led by the hits 'Just Got Lucky,' 'Alone Again,' and 'Into the Fire.' The album sold a million copies in the U.S. alone, and did equally as well worldwide, placing Dokken atop the heavy metal heap of the 1980s. They didn't slow down with their follow-up album, Under Lock and Key, which did just as well, with the hits 'In My Dreams,' 'The Hunter' and 'It's Not Love.' These days Don Dokken continues to tour with Brown back on drums and Jon Levin on guitar, and Dokken tickets are a chance to see one of metal's all-time best.
