About Dream Theater
Dream Theater Tickets - Nothing But Excellent Heavy Metal
Berklee College probably never saw anything more phenomenal in the heavy metal genre than this band born in 1986 called the Dream Theater. Featuring the likes of guitarist John Petrucci, bass guitarist John Myung, drummer Mike Portnoy, keyboard player Kevin Moore, and vocalist Chris Collins, the band tried their hand first with the name of 'Majesty,' releasing a demo and selling 1,000 copies within six months. Not too shabby. Still, they needed a little more clout than that to land a record contract. After changing their name to Dream Theater, they landed a contract with Atco Atlantic -- after actually releasing their first album -- and became especially known for their second album, by the name of....
Dream Theater Tickets - The Music of Dream Theater
The name? Yes, it was called Images & Words, and it was released in 1992, followed by an MTV hit video from the album with the single 'Pull Me Under.' In 1994, their third album hit the stores with the title of Awake followed by probably one of the most amazing recordings ever known to music, a 23-minute epic track called 'A Change of Seasons,' written in 1989 and released in 1995 on the next album of the same name.

With a classic sound reminiscent of Queen or even Led Zeppelin, Dream Theater took the whole music industry by storm with some of the most original heavy metal sounds ever devised by the human mind. That was a great part of their appeal and still continues to be such today. They were epic. They were grand. They were theatrical. They'd have to be, thanks to their name!
