Drop the Lime is Dancefloor Friendly (Updated December 18, 2012)

The story of the man who came to be known as "Drop the Lime"starts when New Yorker Luca Venezia was just a teen. The producer, DJ and founder of dance label Trouble & Bass credits early mixtapes and the rave culture of the Empire State for fueling his obsession with making people dance.

Venezia admits to sneaking into parties in Brooklyn when he was 14 years old, but recalls most of the raves as illegal ventures eventually shut down. However, he credits the innovative club culture as a stepping stone to the birth of his Trouble & Bass crew. The group was born in 2008 , and has grown to become one of the hottest labels in dance music.

As Drop the Lime, Venezia's music is bass-heavy, full of energy and always gets a crowd moving. He has remixed tracks for Armand Van Helden, Little Boots, Rex the Dog, Creep, O. Children and many others. He draws his inspiration from crunk, doo-wop, dubstep, soul, electro and many other genres of music. His discography is also as diverse as his sound, extending back to 2003 all the way up to his 2012 full-length album "Enter the Night." The project contains everything from a bluesy guitar riff in the opener "Dusty Roads" to a cover of the classic Johnny Cash song "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky."

Venezia aspires to continue touring, hoping to share all of the different experiences and new sounds he picks up along the way. Above all, he wants to keep making music that is always dancefloor-friendly.
