A Look at Foghat tickets

Though their hit singles come off hard rocking and brash, Foghat started out and has always remained rooted in the blues and traditional rock and roll. Foghat began as a quartet of blokes from London who frequented the city's blues clubs. 'Lonesome Dave' Peverett, guitar and vocals, Tony Stevens on bass and drummer Roger Earl left the London band Savoy Brown and added Rod Price on guitar and slide guitar to form Foghat in 1971. By the middle of the decade, the band had built a massive following and was touring heavily, playing for arena-sized audiences. Their debut album, Foghat, released in 1972 jump-started their success with the hit 'I Just Want to Make Love to You,' a cover of blues tune by Willie Dixon. They capitalized by releasing Foghat (Rock and Roll in 1973, which went Gold, followed by Energized and Rock and Roll Outlaws in 1974. Then Foghat raised their popularity to a new level, recording a succession of hits, with Fool for the City in 1975, which included the massive hit 'Slow Ride,' then sold more than 2 million copies of their Foghat Live album in 1977.
