With music and lyrics by legendary composer Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Goldman, Follies tells the story about a reunion of past cast members of the musical revue, Weismann's Follie's takes place in a Broadway theatre scheduled for demolition. The original Broadway production opened in 1971 and ran for 522 performances. It features Broadway favorites such as I'm Still Here, Broadway Baby, Too Many Mornings, Could I Leave You? and Losing My Mind. The show has enjoyed various revivals and accolades since it has closed, including a May 2011 run at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The production directed by Eric Schaeffer with choreography by Warren Carlyle, intends to replicate the original, using a full 28 piece orchestra. The cast stars Bernadette Peters as Sally Durant Plummer, Jan Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion, and Linda Lavin as Hattie Walker.
