Lavin actually departed the ensemble in September of 1997, leaving three -- which today would be Sally Fingerett, Megon McDonough, and Debi Smith -- and then a fourth to replace Lavin, Camille West, to hail the true rise of the Bitchin Babes in a big way.

Everything seemed to be going well with the Babes. The year of 2000 was the defining year when the band released Beyond BitchinHowever, the success was unlike any other band's success, as rather than selling albums, they earned recognition, and in a big way. First off, because of the Babes' presence in the music industry, Fingerett actually worked as an actress. McDonough was enterprising in productions in Chicago with Pump Boys and Dinettes and Quilters and garnered quite the acclaim for her title role in Always Patsy Cline. The other Babes equally had success in their own solo careers while still performing together with all the four Bitchin Babes.
