Four Year Strong Tickets - Band History

Four Year Strong began in 2001 in Worcester, Massachusetts. In 2005, the band released their debut album It's Our Time via Open Your Eyes Records, but it was not until they put out Rise or Die Trying via I Surrender Records in 2007 that the band really began to gain steam. The album peaked at number 31 on Billboard Heatseekers charts, and it helped the band gain significant attention among avid pop-punk listeners. Case in point: In 2008, the band signed to Decaydance Records, which is owned by former Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. The signing netted them further exposure and provided them the push needed for Enemy of the World (2010) to peak at number 47 on U.S. Billboard charts and number 6 on U.S. Alternative albums charts. In 2011, keyboardist Josh Lyford caused somewhat of a stir when he announced that he had essentially been voted out of the band. The situation took place because the band was heading in a new direction musically and no longer felt the need to retain a keyboardist. For the majority of their career, Four Year Strong has played a brand of hardcore-infused pop-punk, perhaps best embodied in their single Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die. However, the band has hinted that they are heading in a more rock/alternative direction with recent material. Regardless, they are known for their wild energy, and that much is unlikely to change any time soon.
