About George Winston
George Winston, a contemporary pianist, describes his style as rural folk, one which has propelled him from modest beginnings to platinum record sale heights. During his teen-aged years, Winston displayed an avid interest in the instrumental musical genre and in particular, music which included the sounds of the organ. The popular rock group The Doors, proved to be inspirational to Winston's musical style, so much so that in 1967 the musician began to play the organ and in 2002, released the album, Night Divides the Day- The Music of the Doors.
