Ghostland Observatory Tickets - Epitomizing the Spirit of True Techno
Electronic music certainly made its way into the industry in the new millennium, and the duo of Ghostland Observatory truly envisioned that truth in a big way. Formed in Austin, Texas, with vocalist and guitarist Aaron Behrens up front and backed by the real meat of the core, producer and beat-maker Thomas Turner, the Ghostland Observatory came to be in 2004 when they played their very first show and earned a contract for their actual debut.

Don't laugh, but the title of their debut album in 2005 was simply delete.delete.i.eat.meat, and it stirred enough interest, specifically in the techno area. Paparazzi Lightning followed in 2006 and then hailed a continued use in club music and DJ styles everywhere.
Ghostland Observatory Tickets - The Sound and Style of the Observatory
But they're not your everyday typical techno stuff! Better reccunize (yes, spelled 'reccunize'). Mostly, the Observatory sought to mesh electro music with good ol' fashioned rock and even funk, resembling something like Daft Punk or even Prince. They had a heavy beat quality to them that was perfect for the clubs, but not so repetitive. That was their true appeal.
