H2O Tickets - All the Rage in Scotland

Punk band was all the rage for years in the most unlikely place: Glasgow, Scotland. Shocked, yet? Don't be. Because the '80s Scottish band that took the highlands by storm was the band called H2O, formed in 1978, with vocalist Ian Donaldson, bass guitarist Colin Ferguson, keyboard player Ross Alcock, drummer Kenny Dorman, saxophone player Colin Gavison, and guitarist Davie Wells. After a good amount of work, striving to hit the punk scene with a bang, the young Scots with their musical tendencies finally landed a deal with RCA in 1983 to mark the debut of their first album.

H2O tested the waters, initially, with the release of their first official major-label single: 'Dream to Sleep.' And it hit the Top 20 like a tsunami. In 1984, the album was finally released, called Faith. Other major singles to hit the airwaves were 'Blue Diamond' and 'Go On.'

Their punk style had a certain flair for the debonair of such bands as Spandau Ballet and Fiction Factory; however, you'd know H2O immediately by Donaldson's deep, gritty voice, while reaching some of the high notes and showing that he's not just some punk-ska sort of flavor. That made H2O unique in it's own right.
