It's hard to say when the last time (was there a last time?) an artist left such a large impression not just on the country genre, but on music as a whole. But then again, it's been a long time since a debut artist like Hunter Hayes.

Where do you start when describing the talent level of a guy like Hayes? Using a phrase like "multi-instrumentalist" hardly seems fair when he's learned to play practically everything he's picked up since the age of two. What started with the accordion has become the guitar, the bass guitar, drums, keyboard and too many more to list (32 as of last count). In fact, he played every instrument on his Grammy-nominated, eponymous debut album -- a feat that's simply stunning, no matter the age and experience of the artist in question.

That aforementioned freshman offering, released in 2011, has produced three hit singles for the rising star. The first, "Storm Warning," climbed to number 14 on the U.S. Country Chart. Then came "Wanted," which went all the way to No. 1. It was followed by "Somebody's Heartbreak," which enjoyed phenomenal radio support on its climb up the charts.

Is there anything Hunter Hayes can't do? You're talking about a kid who received his first guitar from actor Robert Duvall, performed for President Bill Clinton at the White House, and has already opened for the likes of Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. And, oh yeah, became the youngest member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame two days shy of his 21st birthday.

Hayes began appearing on the opening act of 90+ dates for Underwood's "Blown Away Tour" on September 14, 2012. He was also nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, at the 2013 Grammy Awards. His album's fourth single, "I Want Crazy" was released to radio April 7, 2013.
