Opened in 2009, Cowboys Stadium is widely considered the standard of what a modern stadium should be. The stadium usually seats around 80,000, allowing for over 110,000 when opening up standing room areas. The stadium itself has a retractable roof making weather concerns a nonissue. The stadium's elegance attracts many world recognized events. Most notably, in 2011, Super Bowl XLV was played in there and came within hundreds of breaking an all-time attendance record.
