About Jamiroquai
Jamiroquai Tickets - The Beginning
Always on the lookout for innovative artistry in the music industry, Jamiroquai hits the note clearly. Born Jason Kay, known even today as the simple 'Jay Kay' in his band, he always wanted to be immersed in music. Born on December 30, 1969, in Stretford, Manchester, it was no wonder that he'd go to any length to achieve musical greatness. At the age of 15, Jay Kay found himself homeless and a lawbreaker. Until he found a way into the music arena, creating his name 'Jamiroquai' out of a combo of the Indian tribe Iroquois and the musical word 'jam.'
Jamiroquai Tickets - His Musical Journey
The Acid Jazz record label got wind of him and his innovative music, signing him in late 1992 with the first single 'When You Gonna Learn.' He then in 1993 got the attention of major label Sony with a second debut Emergency on Planet Earth with hit singles 'Too Young to Die' and 'Blow Your Mind.' 1995 saw the release of The Return of the Space Cowboy and then an American release of yet another album entitled Traveling Without Moving with his insanely powerful worldwide hit 'Virtual Insanity.'
