A History of Jethro Tull tickets

Jethro Tull began in 1967 as a blues rock band headed by flutist and singer-songwriter Ian Anderson, who teamed with oritingal guitarist Mick Abrahams. Soon, however, after releasing its second album Stand Up and third album Benefit , Jethro Tull established itself as a live arena concert powerhouse with dates at the Los Angeles Forum and Madison Square Garden in New York. Even now, Jethro Tull tickets give access to a show that unwinds and travels through a journey of musical exploration. As always, Anderson and guitarist Martin Barre (who joined in 1969) exercise significant freedom in concert to perform long medleys of their original music, interspersed with songs from their considerable discography. Successful as they were as a touring band, it was with the release of their 1971 album Aqualung that Jethro Tull jumped to household-name status, with heavy radio play of the single 'Aqualung,' and lesser hits 'Locomotive Breath' and 'Cross-Eyed Mary.' That album, Jethro Tull's bestselling recording, was followed in 1972 with This as a Brick , the band's first concept album, which came to define the Jethro Tull sound, now with John Evan on keyboards and Jeffrey Hammond on bass. The albums Living in the Past and A Passion Play , another concept album, further solidified the band's musical innovativeness.
