About Jewel
Jewel Tickets - Like the Quiet Sunset
Here you have a truly unique musician, in that all she really has is her soft nightingale voice and quiet demeanor and guitar, and you've got an instant superstar in the music industry: her name is Jewel Kilcher. Born on May 23, 1974, she was a native of Homer, Alaska, with such a passion for music and singing that she attended the Interlochen Fine Arts Academy in Michigan. After graduating, it became clear that a music career was sitting right there in the horizon, especially when she landed her music record deal with Atlantic Records in 1995.

When Pieces of You first came out, it wasn't an instant success by any stretch -- but Jewel and Atlantic Records continued working and plugging it out with constant tours and marketing. It paid off as the album soured to a 12-times platinum status, making the hits 'Who Will Save Your Soul,' 'You Were Meant for Me,' and 'Foolish Games' true staples of her music. She became so popular that it even prompted her to explore the Pop music genre, country music genre, and even poetry publishing.
