Joan Sebastian Tickets - The Pride of Mexico
Here was a man born in 1956 with a destiny -- that destiny was to be one of the most recognized songwriters ever in existence, his lyrics performed for years by many Latin artists in the industry. It was the year of 1977 when Mr. Jose Manuel Figueroa had changed his name to 'Joan Sebastian,' paying a tribute to where he used to work while growing up, called San Sebastian. The rest was all a race to the heavens for him.

Upon getting his foot in the door, he had the opportunity to participate in the role of King of Jaripeo for the Latin series Tu y Yo. Even after being diagnosed with cancer in 1999, Sebastian kept working, coming out with Secreto de Amor and receiving several awards for song and album of the year in the Regional/Mexican category. Probably his most popular accolade was his very first composition, a piece called 'Juliantla,' named after his native town in Mexico.

One might call him the original Latin star. Aside from writing the lyrics for many other stars, he at his own right was able to perform with the best of them. Not to mention he had the look of a true-blue country star with a taste of jazz under his belt. Nothing can beat Joan Sebastian.
