Born in Massachusetts on July 27, 1967, Juliana Hatfield followed music the way a puppy follows its owner, attending Berklee and meeting John Strohm and drummer Freda Boner to form the Blake Babies in 1986. It was a precursor to her power as a solo artist when she broke away from the band to go her own way with Mammoth Records in 1992 and then leading to a major contract with Atlantic Records.
