A Look at k.d. lang tickets
singer and songwriter k.d. lang has passed through several phases within her career, dabbling in different genres along the way. Depending on which segments of her career you examine, you will find punk rock, country, pop, crooning ballads, alt-country and rock. Through all her different styles cuts a voice of velvet, and a delivery so smooth and deep it gives added meaning to her lyrics. Kathryn Dawn Lang was born in 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a young girl, k.d. lang became fascinated with country classic singer Patsy Cline, and the legend's vocal style has clearly influenced lang's performance. After spending a few years singing at country and western venues in Canada, lang's career took a big step forward when Roy Orbison enlisted her voice for a duet of his standard 'Crying,' which went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1989. Lang, who had recorded two albums with her group k.d. lang and the Reclines, then broke out for her solo career and recorded her debut album Shadowland, a collection of country covers. It was in 1992, with the release of her second solo album, Ingenue, that k.d. lang became an international star. The single 'Constant Craving' from that album was a worldwide hit and inspired The Rolling Stones' 1997 single 'Anybody Seen My Baby?' Lang has continued her recording and performing career, releasing Sing It Loud in 2011. k.d. lang tickets continue to sell in droves to her many fans around the world.
