After releasing an EP in 1999 called Building 55 and touring all over Canada with acts like Hayden and Jane Siberry, her time came in 2001 when the debut album of the year was recorded in Ottawa.

It was called Failer, and it earned her plenty of acclaim, enough to earn her gigs at the 2002 South by Southwest Festival and an opening for Richard Buckner. Her success eventually earned her a deal with Zoe/Rounder, followed by the long-awaited release of Failer in 2003. Her second album was called Back to Me, and it was released in 2005. She didn't stop there and released yet a third album called Asking for Flowers in 2008.
