Pendulum swings in the favor of Knife Party (Created February 27, 2013)

Even in late 2011, not much was known about the Australian electro house/dubstep duo Knife Party. Founded by two members of the rock band Pendulum, their digital footprint, and thus their identity, were shrouded in secrecy. But as the club project of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen began producing some raging dance floor anthems, the mystery of Knife Party was no more.

Knife Party isn't just another DJ/production duo. Instead, they have risen to become one of the most exciting acts crisscrossing the globe. And the song that started it all was a remix of Swedish House Mafia's "Save the World," which ascends into a thundering, fist-pumping sing-along at every Knife Party live performance. Then came two EP's – 2011's "100% No Modern Talking" and 2012's "Rage Valley. The former contained the fan-favorite track "Internet Friends." The latter stood out with "Centipede" and "Bonfire," and a song called "Antidote," made with Swedish House Mafia, that outed Knife Party as music's next big thing.

Trekking onto North America's exploding dance scene was the obvious next step. So the duo, already blowing up the UK charts, toured the US with their 'Haunted House' package, which featured their own favorite acts and DJs, and moved tickets like Knife Party had been an established act for years.

On January 22, 2013, Knife Party played a short set on Turntable.FM and debuted a new song called "Power Glove," which will part of their next EP. The following month, they participated in a live Mixmag stream and premiered an untitled electro house track, "LRAD," among other new material.
