Sometimes the streets can give birth to true talent, especially if you have the likes of Biggie Smalls keeping his eyes open! Such was the case for a young hopeful born on July 11, 1975, from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, thrown out by her father as a teen and living with friends. One day on the street as she was working some rhymes, the Notorious B.I.G. took notice and helped her become a part of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. through Death Row Records and then almost immediately after that solidify herself as a true solo artist in 1996. Her name -- as many may know her well -- was none other than Lil' Kim.

Following the release of her solo album entitled Hard Core, she turned quite a few heads with her marketing style of bikinis, furs, and a ton of sexuality. One of the more notable singles on that album was a duet with Sean 'Puffy' Combs called 'No Time.' In 2000, she released her second album entitled Notorious K.I.M., paying homage to her founder, Biggie Smalls. And in 2003, La Bella Mafia was released, furthering her career as one of the most influential female rappers of all time.
