About Lissie
This Rock Island, Illinois native was named Paste Magazines number one best new solo artist of 2010. Lissie, whose real name is Elisabeth Maurus, released her debut album Catching a Tiger in 2010. Her EP Why You Runnin' hit number 10 on the folk charts. You may have heard her songs on one of your favorite T.V. shows. Her songs have hit many major T.V. shows from The O.C. to House to Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill. Besides being named the Best New Solo Artist of 2010, Paste Magazine also named her covers Bad Romance and Pursuit of Happiness as cover of the year.
