Party Rock takes the world by storm (Created February 27, 2013)

Big hair. Elaborate light displays. Robot headgear. Sexy chain necklaces. And let's not forget the top shorts and briefs.

Have we mentioned these are just the costumes that have made LMFAO famous? Then there's the themes of partying and drinking that have become synonymous with the world's favorite new electro-hop duo of Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy) and SkyBlue (Skyler Gordy), uncle and nephew, collectively, and direct descendants of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, Jr.

LMFAO began their career on the club scene in Los Angeles, but became a worldwide phenomenon with the release of their "Party Rock EP" in the summer of 2008. The lead single, "I'm in Miami Bitch" (or 'Girl' for the clean edit) was bootlegged and remixed with DJ Chuckie's 2008 hit "Let the Bass Kick" to create "Bass Kick in Miami." The song became a viral sensation, hitting number one on the UK Dance Chart.

By the time LMFAO was featured in David Guetta's song "Gettin' Over You," which became an international smash, they were ready to unleash their second album. "Sorry For Party Rocking" bowed in the summer of 2011, and behind the singles "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I Know It," LMFAO was a house of fire. "Party Rock Anthem" peaked at No. 1 in the U.K., Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia and Denmark, and hit the Top Ten in three other countries. It also marked their fourth appearance on the U.S. Hot 100, while "Sexy and I Know It" reached No. 1 on the iTunes charts worldwide.

On February 5, 2012 the group appeared with Madonna at Super Bowl XLVI during the Bridgestone Halftime Show. Later in the year they battled, batted and flat-out denied breakup rumors, though it was eventually revealed by SkyBlu that their plan is for fans to see the band as individuals and then 'come back stronger than ever.'
