VP of Engineering
Ideal candidate
We're looking for someone to lead our development team. The ideal candidate will have built phenomenal web apps in an agile environment. You'll be responsible for seeing our product from its an concept through to completion.
Primary responsibilities
- Make the major technology decisions for SeatGeek--develop framework and architecture for product development
- In partnerships with founders, identify opportunities, trends and risks related to SeatGeek's product lines
- Manage development team, track development progress, set milestones and goals
- Manage growth of our data platform to ensure it operates efficiently and scales well, constantly pushing for optimal replication, storage, and speed to protect current data and to streamline our data gathering processes
Required skills/experience
- Comprehensives understanding of the technologies in our stack: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML/CSS
- Experience managing a team of web developers
- A good product sense and an understanding of the web 2.0 ecosystem
- Expertise in MySQL data warehousing
- Solid understanding of agile principles
- Understanding of web standards and a pulse on web technology trends
