mewithoutYou - Band History

mewithoutYou began in 2001as a venue through which Aaron Weiss, Ricky Mazzotta, Ray Taddeo and Michael Weiss could play more experimental music. In 2001, the band signed to Tooth & Nail Records and the following year, released their debut album [A?B] Life. They began to attract attention for their unique indie style and their appearances at popular festivals like Cornerstone during this time. In 2004, they released Catch for Us the Foxes, which peaked at number 20 on Billboard Heatseekers charts. By the time they put out Brother, Sister in 2006, they had secured for themselves a strong underground following. However, the band did lose some steam with the release of It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All a Dream! It's Alright (2009) due to the fact that the album was a complete 180 musically from the rest of their discography, experimenting with folk rather than indie.
