The Knicks proved to be a bit tougher in Game 2, rallying behind 'Melo's determination to score. But, a balanced offensive attack from the Heat's Big Three negated 'Melo's effort and led to another Heat victory. In a fit of frustration following the game, Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire injured his hand by striking the glass case of a fire extinguisher. Although unfortunate, the cause of Amare's injury seems fitting because the Heat are extinguishing the Knicks!

5/4/12 The Miami Heat have gotten off to one of the hottest starts in the 2012 NBA playoffs, jumping out to a commanding 3-0 series lead over the New York Knicks with an 87-70 win in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden. After a sloppy first half that featured little scoring and a lot of turnovers, LeBron James, who was in foul trouble for most of the game, took over in the 4th quarter scoring 17 points and leading the Heat to a convincing victory. LeBron finished with 32 points and Dwyane Wade added 20. The Heat will try to close out the series in Game 4 in New York and advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
