Modestep is in step with the U.K. dance scene (Updated December 18, 2012)

If there's one band in the world that has a lot to 'Feel Good' about, it's Modestep. The London-based electronic/dubstep act has been making noise and headlines since 2010, and is one of the hottest young acts to climb the U.K. dance chart.

Founded by brothers Josh and Tony Friend, the duo rounded out the band by adding Josh's roommate Matthew Curtis and guitarist Nick Tsang to the mix. The quartet officially debuted in February 2011 with "Feel Good," a soaring, energetic single that reached both the Top Ten on the U.K. dance chart and crossed over into the Top 40 of the main pop chart. The single was part of a 3-track EP, with the follow-up "Sunlight" faring even better; it climbed into the Top 20 of the pop chart and gave ModeStep a ton of momentum as it planned the release of its first album.

Proving its social media prowess, the band released "Sunlight" and their latest track, "Show Me a Sign" on YouTube. The former passed one million views within four days, while the latter bowed on March 19, 2012 to an even wider Internet audience clamoring for new music. The group also continues to use live radio streams to take their show to the masses in the digital age.

ModeStep took its act on the road when it made the opening bill of the Lostprophets Weapons tour 2012. They also have a full calendar to open 2013, with shows already scheduled across Europe beginning January 11 with a DJ set at the Headline Club Show in Grenanda, Spain. Their freshman album will bow three days later, and will contain 14 tracks and 7 bonus tracks with the Deluxe Edition.
