Jay-Z and Eminem have been two monumental names in the hip-hop industry for over a decade. Now they are teaming up and performing in two stadiums, respectively in each of their hometowns.

On September 2, the rappers will perform in Detroit’s Comerica Park. Eminem will headline this set since Detroit has been his stomping grounds since childhood. Then on September 13, the duo will travel back to New York to perform at Yankee Stadium, with Jay-Z headlining this gig – himself being from Brooklyn. Both will be full-set concerts. The last time Jay-Z performed in Yankee Stadium, he only performed one song, “Empire State of Mind” with Alicia Keys.

This is not the first time the superstars have performed together. They have done smaller shows before, but Eminem says, “…I’m not sure we’ve ever done anything this big.”

Tickets will go on sale June 12. Will you go to either concert? Do you like the idea of these two artists performing together? Discuss!
