The NCAA's Big East Tournament has also been held at Madison Square Garden every year since 1983. In addition to the Knicks, Rangers, and Red Storm, the WNBA's New York Liberty will make their return to the Garden in 2014. They previously called the Garden home between 1997 and 2010. During the summer of 2011, construction started on an $850 million renovation project. The renovation will include a larger entry way to the arena, new interactive kiosks, expanded retail space, larger concourses, new LED lighting, new seating, two new pedestrian walkways suspended from the ceiling, more dining options, and improved locker rooms to name a few. The new lower bowl will be ready for the 2011-2012 NHL and NBA seasons while the upper bowl is expected to be finished for the 2012-2013 seasons.
