The Story of The Nightingale tickets
Premiering at Manhattan Theater club, The Nightingale is solo show written by the late English actress, Lynn Redgrave. Redgrave, before passing of cancer and bulimia related medical cmplications in 2010, wrote this dynamic play long after her theatrical debut in 1962. The Academy Award Nominee an star of films such as Georgy Girl, and the television series Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, was inspired by the memory of her Grandmother in the creation of this piece, which is part of a trilogy. Centering around the events that transformed a woman named Mildred from an Eager, naive girl to a bitter, jaded woman, The Nightingale completes the series based on Redgrave's family, which includes stars such as Venessa Redgrave and the late Natasha Richardson. The play, which was produced by Manhattan Theatre Club by special arrangement with Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Dennis Grimaldi was highly anticipated by both audiences and critics alike.
