About Owl City
Owl City Tickets- Who They Are
Well, they actually is a he, namely a young man named Adam Young, a 20-year-old creative dealing with insomnia by splicing and infusing sounds on a computer and keyboard through the waking hours in his parents' basement back in 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota. Adam Young did most of his creating in the basement, putting together some of his own songs and posting them on MySpace, calling himself 'Owl City,' later founded by major label Universal Republic.
Owl City Tickets - What He's Done
It was then after christening himself as 'Owl City' did he break out with his self-released EP titled Of June in that same year of 2007, including a track called 'Hello Seattle.' Talented Adam Young didn't stop there, expanding his city of owls with a second album in 2008 entitled Maybe I'm Dreaming. Eventually one would think a major label would notice; one did, namely Universal Republic. It was then that Owl City's first major album Ocean Eyes debuted in July of 2009, featuring the hit single 'Fireflies,' a smash hit both on iTunes and a top 10 Billboard success.
