Meet Pusha-T (Created May 1, 2013)

Terrence Thornton is a man of many talents. Better known by his stage name Pusha T, he is a recording artist, one half of a hip hop duo, and the co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Re-Up Records.

Don't know his name? You will soon. Signed to Kayne West's GOOD Music label, Pusha T is finally set to release his long-awaited debut album, "My Name is My Name." Scheduled for a July 16, 2013 release, the project follows the mixtape "Fear of God" and the EP "Fear of God II: Let Us Pray," in 2011, along with a collaboration on the GOOD Music compilation album "Cruel Summer" in 2012.

A Bronx, New York native, Thornton tested the waters for a music career when he and his brother Gene formed the duo now internationally known as Clipse. Even with the release of four studio albums, Terrence began to 'eclipse' his bro when he lent his voice and persona to other artists, appearing on Kellis' 1999 single "Good Stuff" and Nivea's 2001 cut "Run Away (I Wanna Be With U)." Eventually, solo projects beckoned full time.

Pusha T was off to a running start when he was featured on a number of fellow label mates' projects. The one that boosted his cred was Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," appearing on the hit "Runaway." Pusha T also premiered the song with him at the MTV Video Music Awards, and it appeared a star was born.

"My Name is My Name," will feature production not only from West, but also from The Neptunes, The-Dream, Just Blaze, No I.D., Nottz, Don Cannon and more.
