About Raekwon
Raekwon Tickets - Enter: the Wu-Tang Clan
At least, originally, this hardcore Corey Woods turned Raekwon, and born on January 12, 1968, was part of the Clan. But that all changed when he broke into a critically acclaimed solo project. He, of course, didn't achieve as much status as his fellow Clan members Method Man and Ol' Dirty Bastard, but he certainly turned a few heads with his Loud label deal in 1994.

He first came out with a debut single entitled 'Heaven and Hell,' which he then followed with his full-length solo debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx in 1995. He was already earning himself quite the reputation with such singles as 'Ice Cream' and 'Criminology' hitting the airwaves. After joining up with the Clan for another album, he continued with his solo efforts, making headlines as a staple of Hip Hop in a big way.

As with many of the members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon had a flair for the Hip Hop mixed with heavy rap just the same as the likes of Method man, Ghostface Killah, and the Ol' Dirty Bastard. They weren't as heavy as gangster rap - but they certainly knew how to mince their words and make a statement. Raekwon was definitely no exception. Although he hardly sold as well as the likes of Method Man, he still to this day continues to be a recognizable name in the Hip Hop industry. We can only hopefully look forward to seeing more of Raekwon in the future.
