Rascal Flatts are 'Changed' (Updated November 28, 2012)

After well over a decade of making music, Rascal Flatts' albums are still yielding hit after hit. Once known for genre-specific, radio-friendly fare like "Prayin' for Daylight" and "This Everyday Love," the trio of Gary Levox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney reached a whole new demographic with their sophomore album "Melt." The strong following among much younger listeners ultimately yielded the band's first number one hit, "These Days," and they never looked back.

As Rascal Flatts plowed ahead – through a live album, 2004's chart-topping "Feels Like Today" and the arrival of "Me and My Gang" in 2006 – they continued an impressive streak of having every album certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Included in that stretch was the release of the single "Bless the Broken Road," which spent five weeks at number one in early 2005, while the follow-up, "What Hurts The Most" held the top spot on both the country and adult contemporary charts.

Hailed for their strong vocals and tight harmonies, Rascal Flatts coasted into 2010 on the strength of continued crossover success and a cover of Tom Cochrane's "Life is a Highway," which they recorded for the hugely popular Disney Pixar film "Cars." The band hit a minor speed bump when label Lyric Street Records folded in April 2010, but they signed on with Big Machine Records three months later and picked up right where they left off. By early 2011 they were featured on a remix of Justin Bieber's "That Should Be Me" and recorded a duet with British singer Natasha Bedingfield.

Rascal Flatts' eighth studio album, entitled "Changed," was released on April 3, 2012. The debut single from the project, "Banjo", reached number one status on the Billboard Country chart, and the tour to support the album has already been extended into 2013, adding 20 new winter dates that stretch into March. The Band Perry will join the Flatts, replacing Edens Edge, Little Big Town and Eli Young Band, who all appeared on the road with trio in 2012.
