Slayer Tickets - Get Slayed With the Best Heavy Metal
Thrash Metal was among the best sub-genres of metal music, and Slayer was no exception. Joining the ranks of the likes of Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax back in the '80s, there was no doubt that Slayer was going to be a household name in the heavy metal music phenomenon. Back in 1982 was the year Slayer came to be -- formed in Huntington Beach, CA, by guitarists Kerry King, Jeff Hanneman, bass guitarist and vocalist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo. After some controversy surrounding the content of their music, Geffen Records eventually took a 'stab,' so to speak, and made a 'killing' -- so to speak -- on the band Slayer, and the rest is a bloodied and vicious history of volatile metal headbanging Heaven.
Slayer Tickets - The Hardcore History Laid Out
There are quite a few albums out there by Slayer -- but the most defining LP brought out by Geffen Records would probably be Reign in Blood, released in the mid-80s. They redefined speed metal and practically gave Metallica's Master of Puppets a run for their money when it came to the ultimate thrash metal monarchy. Some of their singles are 'Angel of Death' and 'Postmortem.'

It's no mystery that Slayer delves into the darkness of many demons, but that's part of their act. They entice the shadows to enter their chords, delighting in that horror-infused rock definitely reminiscent of an Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson age. Part of their controversy was the Satanism and even Nazism that seemed to be present in their songs, but one thing's for sure -- Thrash Metal would never be Thrash Metal without Slayer.
