The Story of Sugar tickets
Based on the popular film Some Like it Hot starring Marilyn Monroe, Sugar is a hilarious musical with a book by Peter Stone, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Bob Merrill. It was adapted by Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond from a story by Robert Thoeren and Michael Logan. The play, which first premiered on Broadway in 1972, centers on two unemployed musicians, bass player Jerry and saxophone player Joe, who go on the run from gangsters after witnessing the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago. In order to hide their identity, the two unlikely pair dress as women and join an all-female band on their way to the Miami Beach Hotel. Now set for production again at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford, New York, eager fans can access Sugar Tickets at SeatGeek.com.
