It was in the early 2000s that Canada exploded on the scene with their alternative hard rock bands taking the genre back to its roots with a clean look. Such bands are the likes of Nickelback and then one other band that -- thanks to frontman of Nickelback Chad Kroeger -- hit it big: the Theory of a Deadman. This band was the perfect example of how networking is so important in the music business, as lead vocalist Tyler Connolly slipped a demo to Kroeger, prompting a meeting with his own label 604 Records in 2001. They brought the likes of guitarist Dave Brenner, bass guitarist Dean Back, and drummer Tim Hart, and the rest is history.

Their debut album titled simply Theory of a Deadman came out ?in 2002 with a second effort entitled Gasoline to follow. It wasn't a surprise that their efforts were a welcome addition to the rock genre. With such hits as 'Invisible Man' and 'Lowlife,' there was no doubt. Theory of a Deadman went to make more albums and continue to thrive in the music industry as a top hard rock band hailing from Canada.
