The Story of Three Dog Night tickets

The classic pop group Three Dog Night began with three strong vocalists who wanted to put together powerful vocal arrangements with outstanding harmonies. The idea worked and then some. Lead vocalists Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron and Cory Wells formed the Three Dog Night in 1968, and named the band for a phrase used by Australian aborigines, who called it a 'three dog night' when it was extremely cold and they had to sleep in a dugout hole surrounded by three dingoes. The trio surrounded themselves with strong instrumentalists and proceeded to record the best songs being written in the day. Right off the bat, with their debut album, Three Dog Night the group caught on with the hit single 'One,' a song by Harry Nilsson. Other songwriters favored by the band included Randy Newman, whose song 'Mama Told Me (Not to Come),' from their third album, It Ain't Easy in 1970, was another hit; Paul Williams, whose song 'An Old Fashioned Love Song' scored; and Hoyt Axton, whose songs 'Joy to the World' and 'Never Been to Spain' both became Three Dog Night hits. Three Dog Night, with their clear, catchy arrangements, built a worldwide following in the 1970s and came to pack stadiums during their half-decade of heavy touring, until 1975. By the time they released their fifth album they were used to scoring hits, but with Naturally in 1970 they zoomed to the top with 'Joy to the World' and lesser hits 'Liar' and 'One Man Band.'
